The Professional Inline Hockey Association’s Gateway Division (PIHA Gateway LLC) have officially announced tryouts for the second season of the professional inline hockey action. All 120+ roster spots are open for the 2007-2008 season and tryouts are expected to draw over 200 of the area’s top hockey players. The Tivoli will host the premiere of the much anticipated In The Crease film on February 11th. The movie will start at 11am and will be followed by a Q&A session with the film co-director Michael Sarner. ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that Andy Murray, one of hockey’s most respected coaches with over 25 years of experience at both the National Hockey League and International level, has been named the Head Coach of the St. Louis Blues. Murray becomes the 22nd coach in Blues history. Murray replaces Mike Kitchen, who was relieved of his duties earlier this evening.

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that future hall-of-fame defenseman Al MacInnis was named Vice President of Hockey Operations.

As you have most likely heard, the Savvis center is no more. The naming rights for the center have recently been purchased by Scottrade brokerage. While keeping the naming rights local, Scottrade is located out of West St. Louis County. The center is a 20,000 seat arena located in downtown St. Louis.
