Good size locker rooms, decent ice condition, an overall nice facility. I'd give it a B.

definitely a nice rink, i like the white much better than the blue sportcourt, makes the puck easier to track... was pretty dusty and seemed to be really smoky and hazy in there, probably on account of the dust, all in all it was a nice place to play 2009-02-27 21:46:53 -
Great rink!! I just wish someone would skate around the corners between games and dust it off. Give me the duster i'll do it!! Dusty rink. 2009-02-14 16:30:38 - Anonymous
Rink os okay! Refs are fair when they pay attention, price per session keeps going up for no obvious reason. Employees are asses though. With all the money they make off us they needs to improve the overall facility, and parking lot. All in all its a good place, they just need to make better management decisions, and give us more for our money!! 2008-04-08 21:47:10 - Anonymous
well let's see... the rink is good size and usually fairly well kept, unless you have a late game. The refs will pretty much let you play and call the obvious stuff. My only real complaint is that the staff never gets you a set schedule until the third or fourth week of the session, but they want your money by the second week. 2008-02-12 09:06:13 -
The court and lockerrooms are decent (court is not the cleanest) and the leagues leave a bit to be desired as they can never seem to set a schedule. It always takes two or three weeks of learning the schedule the night before the game, before they set it in stone. The refs are decent and fair. All in all, they don't have much competition in South County - so I doubt we'll see much more form them in the near future. Although, it could surely get worse. 2006-02-22 20:49:53 - Anonymous
I think this is the best rink in town! 2006-01-01 17:07:06 - Anonymous
All American isn't too bad of a facility. The floor used to have a ripple in it but they've seemingly fixed it.. by putting a crease in the middle of the rink. It's weird. In spots, particularly in the creases, there are holes in the floor. The locker rooms are mid-sized and rarely clean. But the bar up stairs is somewhat nice.. would be nicer if they didn't allow smoking. 2005-02-01 16:15:34 -
Our team has played here since 2001. The rink could always be cleaner, but not bad overall. The refs are as good as rec league refs can be. The leagues are run well, much better than the last management crew they had. 2004-12-20 06:11:27 -
This facility is very nice. They have a sport court inline rink, an ice rink, pro shop, sports bar, concessions, and video games for the kids. All and all a great place for family fun. If anything, I'd say they could use to add some showers for the people that like to rinse off after their game but that's really the only thing that they seem to be missing. 2004-12-19 17:53:25 -
The rink is great, but the refs are pretty much blind. All in all I think this is a really nice facility. Oh and did I mention the girls volleyball team is NICE.....

Pretty good ice before public sessions. Tends to have a few puddles on both ends for a few minutes after resurfacing - but it depends on who is running the zamboni. Locker rooms are all too small and there are not too many showers - but it is very clean. Leagues are VERY difficult to get on there, but there is a very helpful staff who will be more than willing to help you find ice time.

Say what you will about it being outdoors and having fence instead of glass, the ice is always good. 2008-04-08 21:57:59 -
It's only partially enclosed so its cold as hell in the winter. But at least the locker rooms are indoors. No glass either, its chain link fence, but its not to bad. I'd say C+

It is smaller than other rinks. 185' instead of 200' I think. And very, very dark. 2006-03-10 09:13:39 - Anonymous
Ice seems to be a little soft and for some strange reason it feels smaller than most rinks, but that may be due to the lighting...it is kinda dark in there. Locker rooms are great and have a lot of room. Seems to be fairly clean. 2004-12-20 06:13:25 -
The ice on this rink does not seem to be the best. However the people at the rink are very nice and the stick n' pucks are pretty resonable at $6. All and all, it's a great rink if it's convenient.

its pritty small and the surface is kind of ate up, really only enough room for 3 on 3. If you know the area i think willmore has a little better surface and it is only about a mile away

Incredible rink. Lots of space in the locker rooms, great ice, and very nice benches. Sort of weird seating, but it's no surprise why the Otters and Blues practice there.

Great all-around facility with tons of space. The ice is great on most days and the locker rooms and showers are well kept. A nice place both to play and watch hockey.

Ahh...my hometown rink. The surface is just about the best outdoor surface you will find. Gives you lots of room with a very quick pace. The only flaw is that the puck likes to slide under the fence out of play from time to time. By the way, the nets have been replaced. 2004-12-25 19:30:42 -
Talked to the city about getting new nets. Hopefully will have some new ones after the new year. Big full open space, excellent lighting at night. Two negatives for me, one is if you shoot to high the puck WILL go over the fence, into the empty field, and the other is the puck has frequently gets stuck between the fence and concert. 2004-12-19 08:45:53 -
While still an outdoor rink, I must say this is without question the BEST outdoor surface I have seen. The concrete is smooth and has a nice finish to the top that doesn't eat up your wheels. While a public park, the goals are a little to be desired as the nets need despirately to be replaced.

Apparently under new management, penalties seemed fine...
However... unlike posted before.. the floors were incredibly dirty.. locker rooms are small (at least they have them), there were some cockroaches in the locker room... and it was really dirty in there as well... some of this is obviously the fault of the players but.. eh..
C at best... 2008-08-07 17:09:02 - Anonymous
Nice Place but gettin a little expensive. Owner thinks way too much of himself and his family. And if a ref calls a penalty on him or his kids beware. 2006-01-01 17:12:14 - Anonymous
By far the best inline rink in the St. Louis area. The facility is top-notch, with nice locker rooms, great floors, and very nice players' benches. However, the knock is management. While some of the managers are nice, the owners are seemingly lost when it comes to how to run a business. Their website says they "Cater to kids", but they actually "Cater to [their] kids", which is evident by their pictures on the website. What really bugs me is that they have reserved parking spots for their management (which some are always vacant) while all of their CUSTOMERS have to park in other spots. Every other business in this country makes their employees park far away from the front so the most important people -- their customers -- are happy. Not at this facility. Not to mention they took down the second big screen TV so their kids could watch movies and play games in the storage closet. Nice facility but horrible business practices. 2005-01-05 12:07:04 -
Without a doubt, the cleanest and best roller rink I have ever seen. No dusty rinks, good seating and plent to do while killing time between games. The locker rooms could be bigger and a pro shop could be nice, but besides that, this rink is an A+

This is the best outdoor rink around. The boards are little weird, but it is extremely smooth for outdoors and has FULL size nets at both ends. It is also very large compared to lindenwood and wilmore. Excellent. 2006-12-22 19:50:01 - Anonymous
The place is a great place for pick up games. The surface is very smooth and easy to find. I would give it an A.

I don't like the locker room setup, they need two more separate rooms. Even though the floor is a little smaller than most rinks it plays fast and the lively boards make for some interesting moments. I'd give it a B+ 2007-01-13 20:02:32 -
This rink is ok, rather small compared to some of the rinks in the St.Louis area but a very fast floor, I do not like the small nets and how live the boards are..Also on the far side of the rink towards the stands the short glass is not very good either..Locker rooms are rather small, I do not like how you have to walk through one teams locker room to get to the other..Overall the rink has its ups and downs but I'll give it a B- 2005-10-21 12:21:25 -
I love this rink. The locker rooms are pretty big on space, the last person smokes crack. The floors can be petty dirty but not as dirty as All-American. It's my favorite floor to play on cauz as a goalie I can slide more easily. I give it a B+. 2004-12-17 02:57:42 - Anonymous
This has to be one of the dirtiest rinks in St. Louis. Its lockerrooms are always dirty, and to be honest, aren't big enough, and there's no room for the team before or after your game/practice. The floor, like I said, is very dirty and is hard to slide on. The overall facility is pretty junky.

Here's the deal... this place is kind of a dump. The floor is slicker than shit and has divets, and the rink is small and only has glass on one end. BUT, it's only like $50 bucks an hour to rent the place. That's dirt cheap.

So pissed at this place! I just moved here and was looking foreward to my first drop-in session here. I called ahead to confirm, and was told to show up early to get a spot. I showed up two hours prior to get a spot, and was given one. I came back an hour later to find out that the session was cancelled. They wasted my time. I drove 40 miles to get there. I guess thats what you get when you let 16 year olds run a large facility.
It may be a good place to play, or it may be a bad place to play....... I'll never know.

Went back yesterday and the rink did not smell like it use to. THANK GOD! Ice wasn't in the greatest shape but you can't expect too much for a stick n' puck though. 2005-12-10 18:49:29 - Anonymous
For being on the Illinois site, it is not that bad; better than the other options... wait, what other options!
The staff there seem to have a stick up their butt with a snobbish attitude. If there was any other option, I would look to go someplace else…alas, there are no other local options.

Played the friday night drop-in hockey session over the weekend. First off, the entire rink smelled like a 10 yr old locker room that had never been cleaned. It was about enough to knock you over as soon as you walked into the rink. Once we changed out and got onto the ice it was like the ice had not been resurfaced at all that week. Very poor. All and all, if it's convenient it's somewhere to skate. But most definitely not the best out there.
